The newspaper in the morning has been a tradition for many for years. Our latest assignment was to incorporate a newspaper into our painting. We had to find and read a news article and demonstrate the article in a painting. My article was about how even the smallest town could become a big city. In my painting there is a person crossing out a sign that says "Rural Town". It has been replaced by a new sign with lights that says "BIG CITY". The bird symbolizes how the wild animals who lived in that area for a long time are being driven from their home. They, like the small sign are being replaced, the wild animals by the humans. I used the newspaper for the base of the leaves and for the sign.
