International Project

Posted by Ana DP

We are doing an international project about our life in Saskatchewan. We are going to be working with photographers from New York, South Africa, and Belize. These are some of my everyday sightings.
This is what the sunrise looks like from my home.

The flag of our country (left) and the flag of our province (right).

This was the conveyor belt on the bunny hill at Table Mountain Ski Resort.
The chairlift at Table Mountain and a few skiers enjoying the brilliant day.
This was a very icy day. The sun's rays are reflected off the snow.
The yellow school buses. Just like the movies.
Sunset from the top floor of my home.
Melt water from the winter has collected over the years and is now a permanent pond.
"Our province is very flat, isn't it."
Working on the new compost heap.
Grass blade in the magnificent light from the sunset.
Rain!
Another sunset.

Lighting Photoshoot

Posted by Ana DP

For this assignment we used professional lights. The first shoot had to be the everyday version of someone ...

and the other shoot was a crazy/staged version!

Folk Art! That was the name of our last assignment. I did a stepping stool. I used a lot of tape making this and used stamps for the butterflies and flowers on the top. I really like how this project turned out.

These are two paintings I did at home for the art show.

This painting is called 'The Colour of Music'

I call this painting 'Peaceful Dream'

This is my latest painting. It is titled Nature Takes Back.

Texture Paintings

Posted by Ana DP

Hey! These are my texture paintings from December.

I used tape for the branches, vaseline to create the effect in the background, and the boat and fisherman stand out from the canvas.

This painting was on wood. I used vaseline to create the effect in the lime green corners and I used a comb to create the effect in the dark green corners. The heart stands out from the wood as do the borders between the painted corners and the blue.
